Background

In 2014, a young African girl set out on a mission to change the world but she knew she had to start at home. She started by volunteering in the neighboring Kibera slums during her free time. Seeing the deplorable conditions that these people and especially children were living in, she was propelled to make a difference in her little world. Between the year 2014 and 2017 she became actively involved in volunteer and charitable missions in raising funds to support the less fortunate especially the children in orphanages. The kind deeds involved buying foodstuff, clothes, shoes, books and toys for the children. It is from this passion to making a difference in the lives of the less fortunate that Africa at Heart was born. She decided to create a platform where other people will also have chance to impact the life of the less fortunate and the community at large through volunteer programs while at the same time create memories while by touring our magical country of Kenya.
